I've finally finished the book. It's been quite a journey. Still, it's only a novella. I'm not very good at writing, so I'm sticking to smaller books; novellas.

If anyone wants to ask a question, here's the place to do it.

I'm really happy with how it's turned out. I also know that there are some very confusing parts that seem like mistakes. This will be clarified in book 2.

Already creating concept art for Die Glocke.

Some of you first-timers might be wondering what this site is. It's a story I was working on a while back. Just shoot to the home page and flow from there.

Thanks, everyone, for everything.

I would also like to say that almost any film that comes out of India is pure rubbish. The blood is red pudding, every film is a bloody musical, people can send other people flying with a single punch, and every hero has a thick moustache. Nah, it isn't good enough to even be called a film. There. I said it. I despise films like those.

This blog and site will probably remain visitless till my book is out, so I'm pretty much talking to no one right now.

Finished working on a book. The Orion Circles begins printing on 19.10.10, a day after my birthday! =D

Anyone wants a copy, please name yourselves here. It's science-fiction/horror/love/tragedy kinda thing, with a little humor scattered around. It's more realistic than the cliche' hero vs villain stories you see everywhere. This deals with the human emotions that come with desperate situations. No hero. No villain. Just plain survival.

The entire book is in black and white to signify the neutrality. BTW, the book's free, but I accept donations. =P

Who here thinks finishing an 11,000 word novella with highly sophisticated xenobiologic and space time theories and a concept of convergence that messes with your mind at the age of 14 is less of an accomplishment than getting an A for History, which I don't really need. I might be taking the art stream (I haven't decided), but I really dislike modern human history. Neolithic humans and before, I'm good with. Post here. I'd like to see your thoughts on it.

Well, it's my father's (official) birthday tomorrow. I say official, cause his birthdate is listed as Sep. 15th on his BC and stuff, but he was actually born on the 5th. Happy birthday! from Me, my mother, my brother and Lulu. (the most important one.)

Here he is! (The one in the middle. Not to be mistaken for the bottom one.)
Picture
He's eighty- er, sorry, I mean forty-six this year. I've known him for about fourteen years, and I admit, when we first met, my communication with him was strained. But as I grew more accustomed to him, I think I manged to interact minimally with him. Nowadays we sometimes have unusual debates, like when we discuss the existence of the Sasquatch. He still doesn't believe me. -_-

One thing I'm thouroughly happy with is his introduction between me and the Simpsons. It's the funniest thing I ever laid eyes on.

Here he is today.

Here's a little thing that happened at the train station today;

Me, my brother, and my father were waiting outside the train station.

Father: The good thing about using the train is that you get to see a lot of people.

Father: Like that guy over there with Einstein hair. *he points at a man with frizzy hair*

Man: *suddenly appears self-conscious and runs hand through hair*

Father: *with shocked exprerssion* He heard me!

(Photos are all by my mother.)

This is going to be my main blog from now onwards.

Yup.

That's it.

In  other news, Jump Start is soon to be finished, but I'm still 'photographing' the important incidents.

I feel pretty bored.

My parents are getting back from Italy tonight.

Turtles are cool.

Peace!

Well, today, I've decided to pay a little tribute to me mum. I'm going to talk about her legacy. She's been trekking up one of the tallest mountains in Southeast Asia for five consecutive years now, and probably knows Mt. Kinabalu better than anyone else I know. I'm not sure how much longer she's going to keep climbing, but I believe that each time will be more enjoyable than the last.

Here are some of her photos when up the mountain :-

My mother has been up the mountain 5 times now, and next year, I'll be accompanying her. She really loves Mt. Kinabalu. She is even writing a book about it, which will be published by her next birthday. Many people find inspiration from my mother's efforts to climb this mountain, including me. If everyone had her spirit, and her love for the mountain, they'd be able to climb the mountain without any trouble.

Er, sorry about not writing for a while. I've had exams, so I've been really busy recently. And now, I'm in Sabah, so I won't be able to add much to the story for a while.

Still working on the time travel matrix itself. There are many things I need to figure out relating to the system. I've got my basic theories of going back in time, but what about forward travel, to the future, or travel through dimensions? I'm trying to get my head around these.

Also coming soon is another story and a project, namely the Narcoptera Chronicles and the Sereptryx Project. The first detais the warped lives of human-alien hybrids in a future Earth, a world in which civilization is dead, and it's gang rule. The Sereptryx Project is a spec. ev. project relating to life on Earth after humans are extinct. That will not be put up; sorry.

Adding a gallery page soon. That means that you'll be able to see sneak peeks of animals and objects that will be featured in the story.

BTW, Happy Birthday, Ma!

Aren’t we all tired of history repeating itself?

Our ancestors were simple people, living and flowing with the curves and bends of Gaia. About twelve thousand years ago, humans were humble.

The only times they killed animals were for food, shelter and they didn’t even waste the leftover indigestible bits. From mammoth tusks, they crafted small pendants and crafts. They used the fur of their kills for clothing in the harsh environment.

Unfortunately, these humans drove some of the once magnificent animals on the planet extinct. They didn’t know any better.

That’s the sad bit.

We’re still killing, more than before, for fashion, decoration, medicine, and sport. And we know better.

Yet, by the year 2010 (this year!), there are possibly only 3200 tigers left on the planet, a drop in over 95% in less than a hundred years.

There are even fewer Sumatran Rhinos, and the West African Black Rhinoceros became extinct fairly recently.

Leatherback Turtles haven’t landed in Terengganu to nest for a few years now. There used to be hundreds, maybe thousands.

There are only about a hundred Red Wolves left in captivity now; none in the wild.

See what we have done? And the impact isn’t final. This is like a tremor before an earthquake. When that earthquake hits, we’ll all be in deep shit.

But I’m going off topic.

As the title says, aren’t we tired of history repeating itself? Ancestors kill off mammoths; we kill off elephants, etc.

Now, let’s rewind a bit, shall we?

-7 September 1936

Benjamin, locked out of his sleeping quarters by neglectful workers, exhausts himself by the minute, pacing back and forth before collapsing on the concrete. His corpse his found by the workers the next day. Neglect from us humans killed Benjamin.

Benjamin was the last Tasmanian Tiger.
Picture
Tassie Tiger Illustration
Thylacines, or Tasmanian Tigers, were marsupials that had stripes going down their backs, earning them the name of ‘Tiger’.

Ben was the last, and died on that sad day.

-Now

The Malayan Tiger is now at a very low number of 500. They’ll go extinct within half a century if we let history repeat itself. This amazing creature, one of the great cats, is now slowly dying. They are being hunted for fur, whiskers, bones, and other parts because of human greed.

We’ve already lost this coat –
Picture
Are we humans really that arrogant and stupid as to let this one go too? –
Picture
The Malayan tiger, this magnificent predator, our country's heritage, is dying. And we can stop that.

You can help.

How?

- Don't buy tiger parts. When the buying stops, the killing stops too.

- Report any wildlife related crime to the Wildlife Crime Hotline.

Lol, sorry for the random title. I just wanted to let you know some things about The Perfect Shot. The Perfect Shot is a series I am writing, that consists of many short stories. You can find episodes in the Epidoe Archive, located at the top of the screen, below the green banner.

So basically, this website just hosts the story.

Well, I've got nothing to do, so I'll just randomly give out fun facts -

1. Kangaroos cannot walk backwards.

2. Cats sleep 16 hours a day.

3. Walruses turn pink if they stay in the sun too long.

4. Polar bears are left handed.

5. The anaconda is NOT the longest snake, even though many (ignorant) people think so. That title belongs to the reticulated python. The longest EVER snake was Titanoboa, and we may find even longer species in the future.

6. The Lion's Mane Jellyfish might be longer than the Blue Whale.

I'll post about the Tiger Blogfest on the next post.

Well, I've made a new blog, to go along with TPS. Updated frequently. The first post after this will include my post for the Tiger Blogfest 2010, an event startd by my father, who has now over fifty participating blogs.

His blog, Planet of the Monyets ('monyets' is Malay for monkeys) is read by people all over the world, regardless of race or standing. It might be a little hard to understand if you ae not Malaysian, since it deals with the state of the environment and politics in Malaysia, and uses Malay in some of its writing. But other than that, it is a great blog, and helps raise awareness in people about the environment.

Thanks for taking the time to read.
